Since March 2015, Robert J. Soper (“Bobby”) has served as President of Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (MTGA) overseeing all day-to-day operations and business development of the MTGA. The MTGA owns and operates Mohegan Sun in Southeastern, CT, one of the world’s largest and most successful integrated resort destinations. Additionally, MTGA owns and/or operates facilities in Pennsylvania, Atlantic City, New Jersey, Louisiana and Washington. MTGA was recently awarded a license from the Korean Government to develop and build a first-of-its-kind $5 billion integrated resort at Incheon International Airport in South Korea scheduled to be open in early 2020.
He launched his gaming career at the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority’s flagship property in Connecticut back in 2001 serving as Chief Legal Officer and Senior Vice President of Administration, and has since served as President & CEO of Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and President & CEO for Mohegan Sun before taking the role as President and CEO of MTGA.
